KILGALLON, Donald Emmett, 80, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at his residence surrounded by family. Born on August 21, 1941 to John and Cecilia (nee: Heslin) Kilgallon in Chicago, IL, Donald enjoyed researching local history and volunteering at the Warren County Historical Society and Darke County Historical Society. In his free time he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.
Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jim Kilgallon and two sisters, Marge Krajeski and Geraldine Flanagan. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Nee: McCartney) Kilgallon, one son, Bill (Shelly) Kilgallon of Lebanon, three daughters, Amy (Mike) Kilgallon Lee of Silver Spring, MD, Mary Muir of Rockville, MD and Kate Muir of Rockville, MD, one sister, Patricia Fitzsimons, five grandchildren, Ben Kilgallon, Jack Kilgallon, Audrey Kilgallon, Calvin Kilgallon and Cianna Lee.
Richard Lee Kiley Sr., 85 of Lebanon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2017 with his family at his side. Born in Cincinnati, OH, son to the late Lee and Margaret (nee Sullivan) Kiley. He married Beverly Catherine (nee Hebestreit) on January 26, 1957. Together, they raised 16 children. Richard graduated from Purcell high school 1950, Xavier University 1954, held an undergraduate and Master’s in Education, worked for Cincinnati Public Schools for 41 years, was a past president of the Cincinnati Teacher’s Union, and was also a 4th degree knight with Knights of Columbus. Survived by children; Richard(Jackie) Jr., Chris(Barb), Mike(Julie), Tim, Ken(Lori), Doug(Liz), Steve(Kim), David(Lisa), Suzanne, Joe(Marie), Dan(Katherine), Kathleen, Paul(Margaux), Andrew(Matt Knotts), Phil(Wendy), Mary(Jon) Thompson, 46 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by Beverly Kiley, his loving wife of nearly 60 years, and siblings Robert, James, Mary, Virginia, and Julianne.
Timothy Francis, 68, of Waynesville, passed away 23, June 2017 in Hamersville surrounded by his family. He was born November 1, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Rachael A. and Phillip J. Smith. He graduated from Purcell High School, Cincinnati, OH in 1967. He married Mary Kathleen Sharpshair of Forest Park, OH January 1970. Tim used his many talents for the pleasure and enjoyment of others. He was a skilled carpenter and electrician. Recently during his retirement he began to restore a 1967 Oldsmobile 442. He is survived by his son, Christopher Smith, and daughter, Melissa Daniels, two grandchildren and one great grandchild and his sister, Kathleen Smith.
GROH Gene Anthony, 56, of Franklin, died Thursday May 20, 2010. Born February 14, 1954 in Hamilton, OH to George Anthony and Barbara (nee: Hillman) Groh, he was a 1972 graduate of Lebanon High School and 1976 graduate of The Ohio State University. A member of the St Francis de Sales Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, he was actively working on his family farm in Franklin. Preceded in death by his father, George Anthony Groh, survivors include his mother, Barbara Groh, five brothers, Gary (Jane) Groh of Lebanon, Tom (Jennifer) Groh of Lebanon, Ron (Tamara) Groh of Middletown, Dan (Maria) Groh of Hilliard, OH and Ken (Marsha) Groh of Berne, IN, his aunt, Martha (Bob) McCardle of Bradenton, FL, his uncle, Charles (Pat) Groh of Fairfield, and many nieces, nephews, and other family.
